MORE WORK ON THE SNOT ROCKET

Sunday saw Darren and Rob attending to more improvements to the EsCarpade mobile (Snot Rocket).
After a email from event organisers - the guys found out the cargo barrier would most likely be deemed unfit - due to being too low down from the roof - so after some thought and a bit of hard work the problem has been solved and now hopefully will be all A-OK.

The guys also built in a storage system -

Drills at 50 paces
All done - for now

Thanks

Team Afro would like to thank the following people for their early donations to the team:

Queensland Blue Light Association for their financial donation

Century Batteries at Carole Park for the donation of a heavy duty battery & a deep cell battery for the vehicle

UP AND RUNNING

Team Afro 2011 is up and running!
The guys (& girls behind the scenes) have been hard at work getting donations to begin their assault on the 2011 Camp Quality EsCarpade.

The team made up of Darren (Dog), Laurie (Ferret), Rob (Rabbit) & Kane (Toad) - see below  have posed for their first (and definatley not last) team photo.

Team Afro will be seen driving an 1984 Pajaro -  the vehicle has been named - to tie in with the upcomming paint job - "THE SNOT ROCKET".  The pajaro is having a check up at the moment - when it has passed it's physical and is ready -the next step will be the almighty & much anticipated  paint job. So until the Snot Rocket is back home - Team Afro will continue the planning and fund raising.
